The Botriver Trail Run takes place on the 2nd of September 2017 from Beaumont Wine Estate (Botriver). Distance options: 5km, 8km & 15km.
The longer 21 kilometre route is tough by any standards and features a total altitude gain of 1280 metres. Most of the work is done in the first half between the fourth and seventh kilometre markers. The rest of the route is moderate by earlier standards boasting spectacular views. There is a two kilometre stretch along a railway line. The 10 kilometre race is suitable for novice and intermediate “trail” runners. The routes are by no means flat but use well-worn hiking trails featuring stream crossings.
