The Botrivier Half Marathon Challenge & Trail Run takes place on the 9th of September 2017 from Botrivier Primary School. Distance options: 5km, 10km, 21.1km & 15km trail run.
The route follows the scenic Van der Stel Pass which is a very well maintained gravel road featuring short hills interspersed with flat sections. Interesting places along the way will be marked like the old bridge, ‘Kyk in die Pot’ and ‘Bobbejaanskloof’. The daunting task of any runner is to make it over the notorious ‘Moordenaars Nek’. It is the outstanding feature of this gritty race.
The race is hosted by the Botrivier Education Foundation (BEF) which is a non-profitable voluntary association.
The aims and objectives of the organization are to motivate and assist students in Botrivier to study beyond matric.
