Event Description

The Chappies Challenge takes place on the 28th of October 2018, starting from Velocity Sports Lab to Kronendal Primary School (Houtbay). Distance options: 10km & 21.1km.

Event Cancelled for 2018

With great reluctance and regret that the Hout Bay Harriers Committee has decided to cancel the 2018 Chappies Challenge road race scheduled for 28/10/2018.

Approval for the usual route was declined due to safety concerns and the route will only be allowed if full closure of Chapman’s Peak Drive is obtained. Despite our best efforts Entileni and Western Cape government has decline to give full road closure.

The alternative 10km route has not had enough support for us to run it.
