The entire course is within the beautiful tree-lined Constantia Alphen trail.
LAP 1: (Orange arrows)
The course starts from the meadow on Le Sueur Avenue and heads in the direction of the mountain. Cross the Diep river above the weir, then the route completes a loop near Hohenort Avenue before heading away from the mountain. Watch out for tree roots along this section of the course. Cross the Diep river via a wooden bridge near the VOB water fountain. Run away from the mountain for about 1.2km. The Diep river will be on your left-hand side. Now cross over a concrete bridge and run towards the mountain for 450m. The Diep river is on your left-hand side again.
LAP 2: (Blue arrows)
Cross the river again via another wooden bridge. Watch out for a very tricky section due to tree roots. Repeat the loop you have just done crossing over the concrete bridge for the second time. Head back towards the mountain for 1100m, with the river on your left-hand side. The route climbs a little here and gets narrow in a few places. Cross the Diep river via yet another wooden bridge. Almost immediately, 100m, you will cross the first bridge near the VOB water fountain and run a shortened reverse loop of the start loop. You will finish on the Le Sueur meadow while running away from the mountain.
Please note that this course is not pram-friendly due to the many roots on the route.
Overflow parking is available on Brommersvlei Road at SARDA.
