The Koppie X-ing takes place over 65km will take you along the Buffalo River and over some serious mountains. Not only is this a special and quite exclusive route ( we gain access especially for the race), but you will dine on legendary Karoo cuisine every night, and experience first-hand the meaning of Karoo hospitality.
Day one kicks off early and will cross some serious mountains. You are looking at some intense climbing over 33 km, but what goes up must come down, and toward the end of the stage you will be flying down the side of a mountain on some steep jeep track.
Accommodation is rustic, staying in a large cabin with bunk beds, and tents. There is a waterhole/fountain for cooling off and swimming where we will be staying at the end of stage one.
That night you will be treated to a Karoo braai under the stars! No doubt swopping out trail stories until late into the night.
Day two takes you all along the Buffalo river, and over some amazing vistas, winding along lucerne fields along the way, eventually arriving in Murraysburg. The track is mostly flat and fast for day two with some technical parts and a few climbs. It is mostly jeep and single track.
That evening we will sleep in guesthouses in town, and have the prize giving dinner.
Places are limited as we want to keep the event intimate, so if you would like to join us, please drop us a mail or enter below ASAP to ensure your spot.
