Rules:

  1. The race takes places under the rules of the World Athletics {IAAF), ASA and CGA.
  2. All Race runner /fun runs are held under the rules of the A.S.A and C.G.A, Athletes indemnify the national, provincial and regional bodies, sponsors and organizers of the race against any or all actions of whatsoever nature, whatever the same may arise out of their participation in the race.
  3. All athletes participate at their own risk. Athletes acknowledge by entering the event that they are medically fit to participate.
  4. All athletes must supply the name and contact number of their next of kin on both the race number and the entry form.
  5. Licensed Athletes must wear their 2020 licence number back and in front of the vest.
  6. Licenced athletes who do not wear 2020 licence number must purchase the temporary licence on the day of the race or face disqualification.
  7. Athletes competing for category prizes must wear clearly visible age tags.
  8. Fun Runs are open to both males & females over the age of 9 years on race day.
  9. No seconding is permitted.
  10. All runners/walkers must obey the marshals and traffic officers at all times.
  11. Refreshments will be available every 3km / 3.5
  12. No mechanically operated devices, blades or cyclists allowed for safety reasons.
  13. Participants enter and compete at their own risk.
  14. Participants with prams must start at the back of the field.
  15. The wearing of headphones/earphones is prohibited.
  16. No Refunds Will Be Entertained Whatsoever.
  17. Athletes must ensure they are medically fit to participate.
  18. Any objection or dispute in respect of results must be lodged in writing within 30minutes of official announcements by referees decision accompanied by R500.00, which will be forfeited if the appeal is not upheld
  19. The race organisers retain the right to refuse and eject any person under the influence of alcohol or any offensive misconduct
  20. Athletes must be 14 years and older to participate in the 10km.
  21. International athletes must produce clearance and legal documentation.

Event Description

The Ismo Half Marathon takes place on the 24th of May 2020, from Greenhills Stadium (Randfontein). Distance options: 21.1km, 10km & 5km fun run.
