May 5, 2018

6:00 To 17:00

The Big Tree Tsitsikamma, N2, Stormsrivier, South Africa

R 2500

Event Description

The Tsitsikamma Ultra Trail Run is a 60 km, linear trail, beginning under “The Big Tree” near Storms River and ending at Natures Valley. It journeys through the heart of the Tsitsikamma mountains where extensive patches of indigenous afromontane forest and mountain fynbos still occur. The mountains form the watershed for a myriad of streams and rivers, many of which are fountainheads for the wider, slower-flowing and magnificently sculptured rivers of the Tsitsikamma coast. The run follows the Tsitsikamma Hiking Trail in a reverse direction.

The route will be marked and runners will also be given a map of the hiking trail. Water abounds but runners will need to carry their own nutrition.
